This post features two portrait studies created as part of my ongoing deep dive into facial anatomy and character design.
01. Female Portrait (Rafa Souza Course)
A study focused on aesthetic form and stylization, inspired by the masterful work of Tsvetan Nikolov. My goal was to interpret his sculptural language while applying the techniques learned during Rafa Souza's course. I focused on the rhythmic flow of the hair and the subtle transitions of facial planes.
02. Male Portrait (Ryan Kingslien Mentorship)
An intensive study of primary and secondary forms of the face. Under Ryan Kingslien’s guidance, I worked on the structural integrity of the skull, the tension of the skin over the bone, and capturing a focused, intense gaze.
Technical Focus:
Anatomical landmarks of the head.
Plane-to-organic transitions.
